In the spring of 2014, the Office of the State Superintendent of Education (OSSE) ups france began its review of Title 5-E, Chapter ups france 30 of the District of Columbia Municipal Regulations (DCMR). This chapter of the DCMR is the local regulation that governs special education practice in the District of Columbia. OSSE's intentions are to revise key areas within Chapter 30.
Feedback from parents and special education stakeholders will also be used to guide OSSE's revisions. This same feedback will assist OSSE in the development of its new five-year strategic State Systemic Improvement Plan (SSIP) for Special Education.
October's topic will be on Least Restrictive Environment and Discipline Procedural Safeguards. The focus group will be held, Saturday, October 11, 2014 at Anacostia Library - Meeting Room 2 from 2:00pm - 3:30pm. Anacostia Library is located at 1800 Good Hope Road SE Washington, DC 20020.
