As one of the main sponsors of the Olympic and Paralympic Games 2012 held in London in November 2009, the company announced a partnership with the University of King's College London to provide equipment and space organization and operation of a laboratory accredited by the World Anti -doping ups track (WADA).

1. GSK has created a partnership with the University of King's College London which provided space, equipment and expertise to anti-doping laboratory testing and ensure confidentiality for the Olympics. University of King's College and GSK initiated a project called "scientists in sport" in which there were a number of free events across the UK, from April 2011 until the beginning of the Olympic ups track Games in 2012.
