Albanians are divided into two groups and prominent Gegë Tosk, who almost shares Genousos River that runs between Albania. Rigid orthodox Marxist regime Albanian first allied with Yugoslavia, then on with the Soviet Union and the People's Republic of China. Since 1978, however, it has stood apart from all the former communist allies.
First Albanian believed to have arrived in the United States, that Kole Christopher (Nicholas Christopher), who settled in Boston in 1880 and still remember the Albanian-Americans as the pioneer of their ethnic group.
