but maybe not to choose and encourage sand

In no time we wrote about the various studies and initiatives to find out how and why people choose a career librarian (see eg. U.S. North Carolina library and information professionals in career paths, roads that led me to librarianship: track fedex wiki site). Here's another study on the UK Aberystwyth University (Aberystwyth University) students' motivation to choose the library profession path. The study involved track fedex university students studying librarianship in 2005-2010. The researchers chose a qualitative research methods - held students focused discussion groups. The main question that the researchers sought to answer, "Why do students choose a career librarian and what motivates them to pursue track fedex higher education track fedex in this field? This message presents a study - continuous, it has been going on for many years. The results are presented in 9 of focus group discussions basis. Discussion groups involved 65 students. Although qualitative research does not reach the same level of representativeness as a quantitative, they are more deeply into the study of various aspects of the phenomenon and see what is possible in the quantitative study. The research identified a number of reasons, to study at the library and the librarian's choice of career. These are: Randomness - many of the survey participants said that library studies and career track fedex choices led to certain unforeseen track fedex events in their lives. The most common career choice was determined practical work experience in a library. Subjects randomly ended up in the library: some of them - looking track fedex for work or changing when someone - who returned track fedex to the labor market after parental leave. Practical experience of the library has changed their approach to librarianship. Many of the "random" Librarians have humanities degree. Love books - in spite of the information and communication technology penetration into the work of the librarian, love for books, reading, the fascination is still a very important factor in choosing this profession. In this case, it is important to not treat the love of books strictly. This is usually not only reading assessment. Ideas, including the dissemination of knowledge, sharing of books becomes track fedex a value. It leads people to quite different librarian career paths. Some people choose a career in information retrieval, service communities, and even research and interpersonal communication. In most cases the motivation was related to the other - willingness to help others, a tendency to solve problems, to teach. Calling track fedex to be a librarian - some research pointed out that the reasons for their choice track fedex of a desire to become a librarian. Often the path to librarianship has been a long and intricate, but still ended up in the library. Some subjects noted that it is a career track fedex in librarianship gave them what they most wanted in life. There have been such people, who have long resisted his vocation, but eventually started working library. track fedex In response to a question about why the library to higher education research noted two reasons. These include: increased self-esteem - graduates of library studies of subjects increased self-confidence in my ability to do the job, they are proud of themselves. This is especially valid working distance librarianship degree programs for students who, after graduation could tell that they really can do its work and complex library track fedex skilled tasks. Often the motivation is closely tied to professional status and recognition at work. Professional status and career - a significant proportion of subjects was to learn, to find a better job. It is clear that higher education opens up wider career prospects and the ability to choose the desired job. Some subjects were linked your motivation to study is not necessarily the traditional library jobs. They felt that library and information professionals in the information society gives them a strategic advantage over other professions. I think this study is very useful argument for the ongoing debate about the status track fedex of the librarian profession and prospects. Superficially looking into this issue it looks as if it is very clear - the status of the librarian profession is not valued highly, and thus about what prospects can talk. But it becomes clear other important things - the profession of librarianship allows to express themselves creatively, it's very interesting work, just maybe the creative and appealing aspects of the work are not sufficiently visible or highlights?
