We invite you to enjoy an album of postcards sent in the years 1917-1918 by a German soldier on the front of Romania, his family in Chemnitz. Each message on postcards start with "Honey" or "Dear Emma, my dear son." Many bear the signature of O. Miehlmann photographer from Hamburg, and most were shipped in Bucharest.
Postcards presents Romanian peasants in traditional costumes of the time, Gypsy caravans, Turks on the Danube, young Saxon, vintage cars, street noca vendors, house with porch, noca Peles Castle and the German Command in Bucharest (Ministry of Public Works), a monk reading the a bank, etc.
